Welcome to Trail Methods.

Eric and Sheila Eagan are freelance writers, race directors, editors, public speakers, race photographers, and trail runners based out of Rochester, NY.

They have been writing stories and organizing events since childhood and Trail Methods Productions is a natural extension of that childhood energy.

Eric studied Journalism at Fredonia State University as well as Leadership Management at Seton Hall University. His work has been featured in Trail Runner Magazine, Ultra Running Magazine, The Greece Post, as well as being the the lead writer for #TrailsRoc.org

Sheila a teacher in the Rochester City School District who has a passion for language and education. She has completed numerous ultras and has been a spotlight athlete from the American Trail Running Association.

As Co-Founders of #TrailsRoc, both are also avid trail runners. When not running, you can find them hiking the Adirondack Mountains, the Finger Lakes Trail, snowshoeing the trails and hills of Western NY or canoeing the waterways of New York State.

In addition to writing and media productions, Trail Methods is home to a wonderful community of endurance based events.  Eric, with his wife Sheila, produce Many On The Genny – A 40 mile trail ultra around the Genesee River gorge in Letchworth State Park.
